Hana Dermatology is a skincare clinic that set up in Bahrain in late 2020, specializing in skin and laser hair removal services. The clinic utilizes the latest technologies for its clients, providing the utmost quality care in its luxurious facilities. Dr. Hana Al Khayat, the founder of the clinic, approached us for a new visual brand identity design ahead of the launch of the clinic.
Our scope of work included branding, typography, colour palette, guidelines, signage design, and stationery design (business card, letterhead, envelopes).

The client approached us with the dominant color in mind for the logo - gold. We went with the color because it represents glowing skin - a trait that people want to have when they enter a dermatology clinic. The gold color also brings an element of elegance to the design, in line with the interior design of the clinic. It gives a luxurious feel to clients, establishing the brand as a high-end service provider.
The black color adds in a neutral tone to the logo along with a formal element that balances the gold. It also gives the logo a toned-down look, creating a balance. The delicate leaf design incorporated within the background of the logo represents feminine beauty, health and nature.
Feminine, Organic, Delicate, Luxury, Sophisticated, Formal. These are the attributes that we have developed in collaboration with the founder. The direction captures the essence of the brand, they are an important core to the outcomes of the design process. The direction is embedded into all design materials, including the logo, colors, stationary, typography and more. They also acted as guidance into how we wanted the brand to look to potential customers - to attract clients and give them a sense of the themes that we have in mind.
Luxury, sophisticated and formal are some of the design values that we have developed for Hana Dermatology. These themes shine through the elegant design of the logo and into the larger branding identity. For inspiration, the client sent us the 3D rendering of the clinic before it launched, giving us a better understanding of the interior space and how the branding design will fit into it. We were also able to test the look of our logo within the clinic, as it is an important part of a holistic and unified design within the space.
What made us most proud is the delicate contrast and balance between the illustration and text within the logo. Although overlapping text with illustration can be risky in design, we took on the challenge and it resulted in a beautiful contrast between both elements of the design. The logo perfectly complements the interior clinic space along with the beautiful lighting and luxurious decor. We are proud of the versatility of the logo, able to fit well into the clinic and ties together the visual aspects of the company in an organized and professional manner.
